I was invited to review Bob Bob Ricard and our food and drink was complimentary. I was not paid to visit and was not under contractual obligation to write this blog post or create content on any platform.
There are some restaurants in London that are always guaranteed to tick the boxes… Bob Bob Ricard in Soho is one of them. From the glamorous decor inspired by the Orient Express to the exceptional service and delicious food… this is just a place that gets everything right. I mean how can you fault a restaurant that has a press for champagne button?
When I was invited along to try the brand new brunch offering at Bob Bob Ricard, I knew for sure it was going to be great! The new Waffle & Bellini Hour is a luxurious way to sample the restaurant and start your day with a smile.
The royal blue, marble and gold private booths are just gorgeous and each is fitted out with beautiful pink crockery and of course *that* famous button!
We started off with a signature Bellini each – the Strawberry and Peach Bellini Royale is made from Champagne, crushed strawberries, and white peach and champagne foam. Honestly, this is the best Bellini I’ve ever had, even better than the Gritti Palace in Venice. The foam was just so creamy and the cocktail itself the perfect balance of not too sweet and not too tart. The Waffle menu has been created by new head chef Tom Peters and each one is made using specially-commissioned waffle irons.
There’s the option of sweet or savoury including ‘The’ Waffle, topped with Cornish butter, and crispy bacon or with wild arctic cloudberries with whipped cream. Each comes with maple syrup with the option to choose between classic or truffle.
I’m most certainly not ashamed to tell you that we sampled all three waffles between us and once again were incredibly impressed. They were so light, fluffy and tasty! I wouldn’t normally choose a traditionally sweet dish as a breakfast option but I could eat this waffle everyday for life and again it wasn’t overly sweet. Plus they’re huge and very filling so at £9 they’ve very good value. It was also great to have a little time with my friend while Mr S ‘baby sat’ Oscar as the restaurant doesn’t allow children under 15.
An hour of chatting and eating delicious waffles and sipping Bellinis seriously flew by and it was time to head off. But this is one brunch I’ll definitely be back for and it’s available every Friday to Sunday from 11am until 12 noon.
