A Floral Facial at Four Seasons Hotel London Park Lane with Omorovicza

Spring has to be my favourite season… there’s something so positive about the lighter days, blue skies and new flowers in bloom. With daffodils in the foyer, Four Seasons Hotel London at Park Lane is well and truly living up to its name…but there’s something even more special happening at the hotel at the moment…
Most London hotel spas are located in the basement, but the 10th floor rooftop location at the Four Seasons is rather unique. Natural light floods in through floor to ceiling windows and there’s a fantastic view of some of the London icons including Big Ben, the Houses of Parliament and the London Eye.
After filling in the consultation form and freshening up with a wet towel and fresh juice, I headed to the changing area, swapping my clothes for the warmest and softest of robes and a set of slippers.
In this private sanctuary there’s a salon with bespoke products, a sauna and steam room and a fitness centre too! You could spend a day here and emerge in a state of total relaxation and bliss.
But I promised to tell you about something very special…

There’s currently a secret garden up here on the tenth floor.
Luxury Budapest-based skincare brand Omorovicza are collaborating with the Chelsea Physical Garden and Four Seasons Hotel London at Park Lane to bring at Urban Pop Spa to the hotel’s guests and other busy Londoners.

Scents of Spring filled the air as I explored the beautiful garden in my luxury treatment room.
The floral designers behind Chelsea Physic Garden have decorated the room inspired by the ingredients used in the Omorovicza products themselves. Could there be anything more relaxing than the soothing fragrances of lavender and rose? Of course, these innovative product use all natural ingredients not a chemical in sight! For example they use Edelweiss (I know, I thought of the Sound of Music too…) as it’s full of anti-toxidants and has healing properties.

The mineral rich thermal baths of Budapest were the original inspiration for founders, Stephen and Margaret de Heinrich de Omorovicza and alongside Nobel-prize winning scientists they developed their skin care brand based on the transformative effects of the healing water. Their Hydro Mineral Transference system now has a cult-following as an anti-aging and anti-inflammatory secret weapon.

The Chelsea Physic Garden is the perfect partner as London’s oldest botantic garden, first used for growing medicinal plants. The garden is only a thirty-five minute walk from the hotel and is the perfect way to continue celebrating spring time for a relaxing post-facial stroll among the 5,000 different plant varieties grown there. Or if you’re looking to head somewhere lovely for afternoon tea or lunch, I couldn’t recommend the hotel’s Italian restaurant, Amaranto enough.

The treatment bed at the spa is cloud-like in softness and it’s heated underneath too.
From the bed there are view across London, though if you fancy falling asleep during your treatment, the entire room can be darkened. Omorovicza have created a facial especially for the pop up and it’s only half an hour long, making it perfect for busy Londoners.

All the products used on my skin felt light and relaxing whilst still giving me a good cleanse. An application of Hungarian Moor mud is used at the beginning to really clean and nourish the skin. A rose scent gold mask with hyaluronic acid then plumps and nourishes. Next very cold crystals were applied to my face, something I’ve never experienced in a facial before but they felt amazing and the spa therapist told me great for tightening the skin.

Who knew truffles could be used outside of the kitchen? Well white truffle enzymes are applied in the form of a neck cream to tighten and firm. Next she gave me a light Hungarian facial massage with her fingers, again to lift and firm my skin. Sometimes it takes a while to feel the effects of a facial but my skin felt silky smooth straight after the Omorovicza treatment.

There is something seriously homely about this spa and I could easily curl up and fall asleep in front of the fire place in the relaxation area. I didn’t but it was the ideal place to chill before having to face reality again. Fortunately as I left the hotel, London was in the full throes of Spring…and soon the winter coat will be a distant memory.

Get down there quickly at the treatment is only available until 2nd April. The Omorovicza facial is priced at £50, and can be booked from 10am to 5pm throughout the duration of pop-up
