A Fast Fix at Duck & Dry

Mr S will have you believe that I can be a *little* impatient…don’t trust him, it’s not true…ok maybe it’s a little true. I like everything to be done quickly, in super fast time…and I mean now!! I’ve mentioned before the I love having my frizzy locks blow-dried to perfection, but even this I like done quickly. I’ve not come in for a long pampering sesh…I just want my hair done.

And that’s why I’m so glad the London is taking a leaf out of New York’s book and more and more blow dry bars are appearing throughout the capital…enter Duck & Dry in Chelsea!

So what makes Duck & Dry different to other blow dry bars?

Well firstly, and most importantly, there’s a bar….

Serving prosecco, coffee, juice and popcorn, with it being still rather early I chose to forgo the bubbles for once!

Also Duck & Dry isn’t boring and functional like other blow dry bars, it’s stylish and girlie with pretty pink touches, cool artwork and funky tiles.

I loved the fact that there was a menu of styles including eight blow-dries and eight updoes, plus add-on treatments and even hair styles for kids. To even further saved time you can come in with your hair already washed and get the express blow dry.

I chose ‘high tide waves’ from the style menu and the lovely Ella set about styling me pretty. I attempted to take bad mirror selfies as I found out a bit more about the salon; The Duck & Dry salon can be hired out for groups and events and are available for session work and weddings. The whole salon can even be hired as a pop-up to come your event! Ella smoothed, blowed, brushed and sprayed for about forty minutes as I chatted, tweeted and flicked through magazines.
