A Festive Feast at Taste of London Winter

Last night I was lucky enough to attend the opening night of Taste of London Winter 2014 at Tobacco Dock.
I was very excited to have VIP press pass. Yes, I’m a member of the press now, I was so proud I sent my mum a photo of the pass. As I walked into the event, it felt so wonderfully festive, with twinkling lights in the trees and a crisp nip in the air.
Taste of London is a totally fabulous foodie extravaganza which showcases dishes from some of London’s top restaurants such as Kurobuta, Benares, Ember Yard and a club Gascon.

I can particularly recommend the Ceviche from Andina and the Octopus from Ember Yard both of which were delicious!
At the show you can enjoy live cookery demonstrations from famous chefs such as Daniel Doherty, Nuno Mendes and Neil Rankin. There’s also the opportunity to take part in interactive master classes such as cocktail making and wine tasting.
I picked up a glass of champagne and walked around the festive markets sampling cheeses, wine and chocolate whilst enjoying live music from the band stand.

If you go one stand you absolutely must check out is Bad Brownie.

The gourmet brownie company was started by a friend of mine from university and trust me they are simply the best brownies I’ve ever tasted.
Taste of London is running this weekend and there’s still time to check it out on Saturday or Sunday. A standard ticket costs £25 on the door and the dishes are purchased once inside.
My ticket to Taste of London was complimentary because I am a member of the press, now!!
