Macarons, cocktails and bloggers at Anges de Sucre

Despite how it may appear, I don’t actually have a sweet tooth, I’ll always choose a starter over a dessert, at afternoon tea I’ll reach for the sandwiches rather than the cake and I can always say no to chocolate…
But there’s one sweet treat that I just love! And that is a macaron (I now know the difference between macaroons and macarons, thanks to Caroline’s blog!). It’s that gorgeous crisp outer shell, and creamy filling that’s just delicious and so hard to resist. So when I was invited along to a bloggers event at Anges de Sucre, a beautiful macaron boutique I was there in a shot. Yes you read correctly, a whole boutique dedicated to that delicious French fancy!
First a hello to the bloggers…

Caroline, of course, and Sophie from Your Girl is Lovely. Laura from Heroine in Heels was also present at the event and I met a fellow Angela, the writer of the Awkward Blog.
The founder of Anges de Sucre, Reshmi Bennett showed us the most fantastic hospitality with bellinis, watermelon martinis, delicious canapes and all the macarons we could eat!!

The macarons themselves we all lined up in flavours and colours like a jewellery box of treats. I highly recommend the vanilla! Reshmi incorporates French, British and Asian influences into her confections making them highly unique and innovative.

The shop itself was gorgeous and girlie with lots of cool and quirky decorations.

And it didn’t stop at macarons, there were gorgeous colourful, pillowy marshmallows to enjoy too.

Everything is freshly handmade using natural ingredients in order to make the most perfect confectionary. Anges de Sucre also fully cater for weddings and other events. In fact can I have another wedding just to fill it with macaron towers? It would, of course, be to Mr Silver again…
Macarons, marshmallows and artisan teas and coffee are available for delivery across the UK or pop into the Kensington shop for a cuppa and say hi to Reshmi herself!
