I’m very lucky to have so many friends who have really been there for me throughout the years. For the good times and the bad times I’ve always been able to count on them!
I have kept in contact with people through all walks of life, from primary school, to secondary school, university and from various different workplaces. Everyone means so much to me and I’m so happy to have them in my lives!!
To celebrate my ‘last night of freedom’ I wanted to have all my friends around me to, and to have the most amazingly fun and crazy hen do ever!!
A fabulous hen do clearly starts with beautiful bridesmaids.
And here are the girls!
From left to right Lauren, Anna, Gemma and my sister, Jen.
The hen do of dreams was to start off at a fabulous London penthouse. Here’s the girls preparing for my arrival…
They had hired a fantastic barman from
Mixology Events to make sure everyone had enough cocktails throughout the night.
Who were on hand to make sure there was plenty of bubbly throughout the night. To capture our crazy antics, the girls had hired a photo booth and a box of props.
The lovely girls know me so well and had filled the table with all my favourite food.
Sushi!!! And other Asian nibbles.
I was greeted at the door by our hunky staff for the night!
A little red dress was my theme for the weekend and I wore one of my favourite Herve Leger numbers with a pair of YSL shoes.
I was dressed up in my henny finery, a subtle tiara and sash, and shown all the lovely things the girls had organised.
It was fantastic to have so many of my lovely ladies come along.
We had our fortune told with flying fish…
Enjoyed cocktails out of novelty shaped straws…
Wore funky bejewelled rings…
And smoked fruity shisha..
And had totally fabulous fun in the photo booth!!
And here’s the entire gang.
And as a very special gift, the girls had put together a book with a photos and a personal letter from each of them.
There was even letters from my parents and my little nephew and some baby pictures of me. I was so touched by the book that I was close to tears…
And now it was time to leave the gorgeous penthouse pad and our cheeky butlers to head out clubbing. My favourite club, Kensington Roof Gardens, was the venue for the second half of the night.
Roof Gardens is a fantastic venue for a night out. It is the only club in London with a Roof Garden (funnily enough!). In fact, it actually has three different themed gardens and a superb view over London.
And we definitely weren’t short of alcohol…
or fun times…
And friendship!
We had a fantastic VIP area all to ourself behind a glittering curtain.
And as the music played we danced the night away on my last night of freedom!
And so ended part one of the most fabulous hen do ever. And after such a wild night in the city we were ready for a bit of relaxation. Watch this space for part two…hens in the country.
