Quintessentially Wedding Atelier – The Ultimate in Luxury Wedding Brands

When the love of my life, Mr Silver proposed to me in Australia it was one of the most amazing and exciting moments I’ve ever experienced… we were walking on air with the excitement that we would be spending the rest of our lives to together.

When we got back to London it was back to reality and time to plan the wedding. But this wouldn’t just be any wedding. I wanted the perfect wedding….
A fabulous venue
The best dress EVER
The most amazing cake!
Beautiful flowers!
Stunning bridesmaids dresses
Well, I already had the perfect man and now I needed to celebrate our marriage in true SilverSpoon style.
Having the perfect wedding meant working with the best suppliers and the most luxurious high-end artisans. It took very thorough research (reading plenty of wedding magazines), careful analysis (trying on lots of shoes and dresses) and meticulous planning (eating lots of cake and drinking a lot of champers) to decide exactly how I wanted my wedding to be.
Quintessentially Weddings and I are clearly on the same page as many of my favourite brands would be exhibiting at their Atelier at Somerset House. I went along to say hi to some of my suppliers and to find out more about the ultimate in luxury wedding brands. No sneak peeks though I’ll keep all my choices for my wedding secret for now…

Invitation to Quintessentially Atelier

I was greeted to the Atelier with some gorgeous cocktails.

This was clearly going to be unlike any wedding fair I’d experienced before… Each supplier had their own room which they’d designed to reflect their gorgeous luxury brand.

First, I popped in to say hello to some of the lovely people helping to design and style my wedding and to make it into the day of my dreams.

Most importantly, Phillipa Lepley, my wedding dress designer.

Phillipa is one of London’s leading couture bridal designers and her dress styles and fabrics are just exquisite!

A totally stunning creation!

Next it was on to see my floral designer, the very lovely Rob Van Helden.

Rob Van Helden Flowers at Quintessentially Atelier
Rob is an extremely talented florist who is also very kind and personable, giving each of his clients a highly personal and individualised experience. He gave me a tour of New Covent Garden flower market, allowing me to hand pick the flowers for my special day.

You know you’re in good hands with Rob as he is Elton John’s personal favourite florist. And we all know how much Elton loves his flowers!

The lady behind my flower girl dresses is Nicki Macfarlane.

Nicki designs award-winning styles for bridesmaids, flower girls and page boys. Her bespoke service allow the bride to tailor the dresses to exactly how she’d like them.

I’m in good company here, as Nicki also designed the flowergirl dresses for the wedding of Prince William and Kate Middleton!

If you’ve read my blogs before you’ll know of my love for Louboutins and, of course I have them for my wedding shoes too. What girl can resist the red sole?

The Christian Louboutin room was my favourite of the day, but unfortunately they wouldn’t let me take pictures. They did allow a little snap of this gorgeous Faberge egg and these fabuloso sparkly shoes!

I also met with other wedding suppliers who provide the ultimate in luxury service and design.

I admired more gorgeous dresses from Brown’s Brides.

Vivenne Westwood was also showcasing her unique style of wedding dresses.

I also admired the luxury stationery at Prantl.

Prantl stationery

The company have been designing and producing elegant stationery since 1797, so they really know their stuff! Prantl were also responsible for designing the gorgeous, bespoke invitation at the beginning of this post.

I swooned at the monchrome gorgeousness of the Chanel room.

I also admired Fiona Cairns’ wedding cakes who offer a bespoke cake design service.

Fiona was the designer responsible for the metre-tall cake served at the wedding of the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge. Are you sensing a the regal theme here?
My cake is by the wonderful Peggy Porschen, read about my visit to see her new floral design collection!
Another fabulous room was the Agent Provocateur suite, which had the feel of a naughty but utterly luxurious lingerie wardrobe.
Agent Provocateur lingerie
The ladies at Agenteur Provocateur were there to make sure the brides has the perfect lingerie for both the wedding and the honeymoon.

And speaking of honeymoon…I also had a great chat to the lady from Quintessentially Travel  who was on hand to discuss that heavenly holiday, perhaps the best part of getting married. Quintessentially Travel tailor-make your honeymoon and offer a concierge service where they will take care of everything for you so that you get the best the destination has to offer!

My honeymoon is already all booked but it was great to bounce a few ideas off them and get suggestions of places to visit, restaurants to eat in and bars to drink in.

When I left the Quintessentially Atelier I was laiden down with goodies. Check out my haul…

Quintessentially really know how to treat their guests! It was great to spend the day talking to artisans of fashion, design and craftsmanship and to receive such wonderful gifts!

We all love luxury brands but the greatest luxury in life is to fall in love and to know for sure that you are marrying the right person. I do love the finer things in life but I’d happily marry my Mr S wearing jogging bottoms, carrying a bouquet from the local garage and eating sandwiches from M&S washed down with Lambrini…but maybe I’ll stick with my perfect wedding for now…
