Mr S has turned into a blog widow again of late, over the past few weekends I’ve been busy touring the streets of Piccadilly, munching on sushi at Murakami and of course attending the first meeting of Blog Addicts Anonymous at Bourne and Hollingsworth Buildings. Now, it was time for a little ‘us’ time and exploring the pretty shops and mews houses of Westbourne Grove. Don’t you feel like as life rushes by you sometimes forget to take a quiet moment and have a coffee together and catch up on your latest news and future plans? When we arrived at 202 London, I considered turning around and heading for a another nearby cafe – the place was packed and there was a queue to sit down but actually we didn’t have long to wait.
Soon we were sat at a table for two and I ordered up a toasted bagel that arrived with a generous portion of smoked salmon and a huge dollop of cream cheese.
Mr S went for a sizzling platter of fajitas and a portion of thin cut fries, looking around the restaurant, his was an incredibly popular choice for brunch-time at 202 Restaurant. We loved the relaxed ambiance of the restaurant with bistro-style shabby chic furniture and huge mirrors lining the walls. 
202 isn’t just a restaurant it’s also a boutique with pretty accessories, artwork and books for sale on the ground floor. 
And shoes and clothes and things downstairs…
It was a sunny October day and actually warm enough to sit out on the pavement, the perfect place for people watching in pretty Notting Hill. But with the seats outside taken we were content to sit inside munching our brunch, sipping our coffee and planning our next adventures. 
Brunch concluded with a plum crumble (that smelt suspiciously of rum) topped with a creamy ball of vanilla ice cream and the provision of two spoons…a perfect Sunday spent together.
