How to Book London’s Most Desirable Restaurants

I think you may have noticed by now that I quite like fancy places…
Rather annoyingly, these are the places where it’s hardest to get a booking…there are so many places that I want to go to…Gymkhana, Nobu, Hakkasan, The Square but it’s near impossible to get a reservation unless you book about 100 years in advance.
But last night I was invited to the launch of a new app that may be the solution to the problem.
Uncover is an app that allows Londoners to book some of the city’s most desirable and hard to get into restaurants at the last minute.
Now, I’m not a last minute person…I like to plan ahead. I mean, I have a bucket list to get through!! But Mr Silver is. He’ll tell me on the day if he’s made plans with friends and will ask me to book somewhere….and then there’s never availability somewhere good!
However, Uncover finds the last minute table cancellations at a selection of hugely desirable restaurants, whether they be the latest trendy place or the Michelin-starred classics.
Sound good? Well, I was definitely intrigued…Last night, I headed down to Bourne and Hollingsworth Buildings to hear more about this handy new app.

I loved the floral prints of the all-day brasserie which is actually a converted warehouse.

And as the cocktails were served we were told a little more about the app. Uncover uses only a short list of top restaurants and hidden gems so that users don’t have to trawl through a list of rubbish! The list can also be filtered by location and preferences. It’s definitely a tool that really appeals to me…
When I’m back from my hols I’ll be putting Uncover on trial and letting you know how user friendly it is and what I think of the restaurant selection and other features.
So stay tuned to hear more and if you’re interested in taking a look for yourself,¬†Uncover is free to download and there’s no charge to make a booking. Currently in the soft launch phase it is available in the App Store on IOS and the Android version is due for release Summer 2015.
